Scams have always existed, but the methods used today are more sophisticated than many people realize.
What most people don’t realize is how artificial intelligence is being used to make scams more convincing. Common misconceptions include believing scams are obvious, rely on poor communication, or only affect people who lack technical experience. In reality, many modern scams are designed to appear legitimate and emotionally credible.
This seminar takes a clear look at the types of scams emerging in the age of A.I. Topics include voice-cloned phone calls, realistic emails and text messages, deepfake videos, impersonation of family members and trusted organizations, online investment schemes, and misleading medical or financial offers. We also examined the psychology behind why these scams work and how people are manipulated into responding.
Attendees learned how to recognize warning signs, slow down decision-making, and take practical steps to protect personal information, finances, and accounts in an increasingly digital environment.
